Upon the recent announcement by the Argentinean government to close the country’s borders and prohibit the entry of foreigners for 15 days, SKY activated its passenger protection plan in order to provide greater flexibility for those affected.

Likewise, the airline warns all passengers who are not Argentinean citizens or residents to avoid coming to the airport or traveling, as they will not be allowed into the neighboring country.

Therefore, SKY will permit flight date rescheduling without penalty and without any fare difference, or a change in route without penalty, but applying any corresponding difference in price.

“We are doing everything we can to assist the passengers affected, but because the situation is so critical, we need everyone’s collaboration and flexibility,” emphasized the commercial director for SKY, Carmen Gloria Serrat.

Moreover, she noted that the operating itineraries to Argentina will remain unaltered up to March 18th, but only for the transportation of Argentinean passengers or residents. After that date, passengers are advised to visit the company’s website (www.skyairiline.com) and check the status of flights over the next few days.

The airline pointed out that it has activated each of the protocols recommended by the Ministry of Health and is continuously coordinating with the key players such as the DGAC and the airport to ensure the wellbeing and safety of its workers and passengers.

On the other hand, the company’s Airbus fleet has state-of-the-art technology, which completely replenishes the air inside the airplane every 3 minutes, removing particles the size of microscopic bacteria and virus groups, with an efficiency of over 99%. Furthermore, the aircraft’s filters are highly efficient at capturing the coronavirus, as the air flow collected is not spread throughout the cabin.
