The call for entries for the Chile 2022 Wine Tourism Awards is now open. This is the first national competition that highlights Chilean vineyards.

The initiative seeks to highlight the positive impact of the wine tourism sector and activity. As a result, three categories will give awards:

• Best Emerging Vineyard
• Best Wine Tourism Experience
• Best Wine Tourism Short Story

The competition seeks to promote the growing offer, with more than 160 vineyards open to tourism.

The wine industry is one of Chile’s great tourist attractions and a source of national pride. For the second version of the contest, scheduled for 2023, a fourth category is expected to be included: Best Grape Harvest Festival.

How to participate

To apply to the Chile 2022 Wine Tourism Awards you must go to the website www.premiosenoturismochile.cl. In the case of Atacama and Coquimbo, companies related to the pisco culture are also contemplated. 

A regional jury will select three finalists per region from among all the applications. Finalists will be voted on by the public.

Then, a national jury will decide the winners. They shall be awarded on International Wine Tourism Day in November.
