This leadership is part of what the country expects to show during the IFTM Top Resa in France, an important appointment for the professionals of this area.
This exclusive encounter aimed to the world’s touristic industry is known for its multifocal programs presentation, all dedicated to each area on the global touristic industry like leisure, business and events, it also enhances the creation of new contact networks through one-on-one pre-scheduled meetings.

Attendees of the 48th version of this B2B (business-to-business) fair –to be held on September 25th to 28th in Paris- will be able to feel the adrenaline of hiking the Villarrica, practice canopy in Pucón and discover the mysteries of Rapa Nui, among other destinations through 3D glasses and the use of three virtual reality totems our country will put together during the event.
For the Tourism Under-Secretary, Mónica Zalaquett, these four days of intense business activities “allow to position our country on markets with great appealing for the national industry, like France, from where 85,943 tourists arrived to our country during 2017, an 8.7% more than 2016, with an average of 26 days of stay, which generated a total of US$100,252,060 of expenses”.

On the other hand, Andrea Wolleter, National Director of Sernatur, said that the participation on international events like the IFTM Top Resa “confirms our place as South-America’s Best Adventure Tourism Destination. Through virtual reality and the Chile 360° app, the ones coming to our stand will live touristic experiences linked to the adventures you can enjoy in our land”.
This way, Chile will mark its presence in France with an 84 mts2 stand to be shared with Los Lagos and Magallanes regions and 13 national touristic companies. It is also expected to arrange a total of 30 business meetings with providers and press from all Europe that, not only will they get surprised with the virtual reality experience, but also with gastronomy activities looking to mimic the after-office spirit, with Chilean wine and cheese tasting.
IFTM Top Resa 2018 will gather 32,480 tourism professionals, mostly international industry key buyers, who will gather with 1,680 expositors divided in destinations, tourism offices, airlines, hotel industry, technology and events productions companies.
