In a platform for informative and commercial meetings, the Roadshow Australia 2019 aims to become known as a high-end exhibition that, for the second consecutive year, brings the most the best Chilean attractions to the cities of Sydney and Melbourne on the dates between July 23rd and July 25th.
It is a strategic action of Chile’s International Tourism Promotion, aimed exclusively at travel industry professionals, with the presence of 20 tour operators and 40 travel agents from Australia that seek to sell Chile or incorporate its new national destinations into their selection of travel offers.
In the 2019 edition, Chile will participate with the Los Lagos and Magallanes regions and the Chilean Antarctic, in addition to 14 national companies, in “one-on-one” meetings, pre-scheduled commercial appointments, training on outstanding destinations and tastings of Chilean wine and cocktails.
MARKETING INITIATIVE
“This roadshow aims to strengthen the commercial relationship between both countries and generate new ties to continue increasing the number of tourists Chile receives from this strategic market. In 2018, 52,653 Australian tourists arrived in our country, 4% more than the previous year. The goal is to continue increasing these numbers,” said the Undersecretary of Tourism, Monica Zalaquett.
SERNATUR’s national director, Andrea Wolleter, explains that the event is “an effective tool to synergize with Chilean priority markets such as Australia, especially because these tourists seek luxury experiences linked to nature and adventure, areas where Chile is a true powerhouse, having been awarded as the Best Adventure Tourism Destination in South America for the fifth year in a row, as well as for the first time ever at the regional level as the Best Nature Destination by the World Travel Awards. ”
INFLUENCERS
Thus, on July 23, the encounter will take place in Melbourne, where in addition to the commercial opportunities, the activity will offer a training session on Chile, led by Jarryd Salem, Australian influencer and founder of Nomadsurus, a blog specializing in adventure experiences. He will share with those present his travel experiences in our country.
On July 25, during the networking activity between the two countries, a class on how to prepare Chilean cocktail classes will be offered as well as session by Australian photographer and travel blogger, Edwina Hall, who will talk about Chile’s tourist attractions.
