With almost 50 years of continuous diplomatic relation and 13 Free Trade Agreements between both nations, China has become a priority market for Chile, with tourism being one of the areas to be enhanced. Thus, between May 15th to 17th, Chile will arrive to Shanghai city to be part of the ITB China 2019 tourism fair.

Is the biggest touristic encounter in Asia, in which Chile will show its attractions together with Argentina on a 108 square meters stand. A strategic agreement between neighbor countries looking to promote the touristic offer as a bloc among the more of 850 buyers attending the third version of this fair.

A combined promotion in which Chile will mark its presence with touristic attractions linked to enotourism and nature, and the service offer of 6 national companies looking to create a synergy and new business with Chinese professionals of the area.

NATURE AND ENOTOURISM

This way, the international action will have a series of efforts the Government is enhancing to increase Chinese travelling towards our country and it has become a unique opportunity to show our national attractions in Asia, for business tourism as well as leisure tourism, to increase this market’s tourists’ arrival to Chile, because in 2018 our country received 34,583 Chinese tourists, a 12.4% more than the previous year.

Also, during the fair in Shanghai, the Chilean delegation will place in the stand a “video wall” in which the best images from national attractions will be shown and will share with Argentina a wine bar where both countries will hold tastings of their best strains every two hours.

The third edition of IBT China will be held at the Shanghai World Expo and Exhibition Center, and will add attractions exhibits, massive conferences with 120 speakers talking about 70 different matters, all focused on the touristic industry, conferences that already have more than 4 thousand attendees subscribed.
