Chile launches international branding campaign for third quarter, invites tourism industry to join campaign

Under the slogan, “A place to follow”, Chile seeks to make an impact with a large multi-market campaign, mixing both digital and traditional marketing.

Culture, nature, adventure, astrotourism, gastronomy, wine, and well-being. These are the themes that Chile will promote in its international branding campaign for the second half of 2019, “A place to follow.” This is a national call inviting people from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Argentina to discover our touristic destinations, experiences, and services.

The multi-market campaign will be active between September and December of this year, with differentiated actions for each country. It is known that “67% of travelers seek inspiration from digital channels for their next trip*”.  The campaign, which invites and motivates users to “follow Chile” to help them finalize their travel plans, is investing its marketing action budget towards 64% digital and 36% offline. The dates in which the campaign will be active are:

  • Germany: 1 September to 30 November
  • United Kingdom: 15 September to 15 December
  • France: 1 November to 30 November
  • Spain: 1 September to 31 October
  • Brazil: 1 September to 30 November
  • Argentina: 1 September to 30 November.

This international branding campaign seeks to motivate travel decision making through content that inspires the audience, highlights the diversity of experiences that Chile has, and that are attractive to each of the prioritized markets.

We invite the tourism industry to join this campaign, to better leverage joint tools, outreach coordination, and publicizing actions, and bring new tourists to our country.
